Our Land, Our Stories series and new Activity Books
Join Nelson Primary for this free 45-minute webinar focused on ensuring you get the most out of the Our Land, Our Stories series in your classroom. The webinar will be presented by Sally Lawrence and Danielle Shaw, authors of the brand-new Student Activity Books, part of from Nelson Cengage’s Our Land, Our Stories series.


Our Land, Our Stories is a landmark series exploring First Nations peoples, histories and cultures. The series includes rare and historically important photographs, artwork and audio-visual resources from AIATSIS’s vast collection, with many texts and stories written by leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors.

In this 45-minute session we will:

  • Demonstrate how the Our Land, Our Stories resources can be used within the classroom
  • Unpack the brand-new Student Activity Books
  • Explore the Our Land, Our Stories resources and how they explicitly link to NSW Syllabus Outcomes and NSW Syllabus Course Content Units
  • Demonstrate how teachers can easily align components of the series into their teaching programs, allowing them to incorporate meaningful and authentic First Nations perspectives.
